Q: Does Hollywood give lots of cash to China for movies to come out here?
How does it work exactly. Cause it's clearly all about the moola.

sure there are agents who sale the movies to the cinema owners or managers. money is everywhere involved in it, there is no free lunch......
No, Hollywood movies typically come here when they are going to be bombs back home because hollywood knows, simply by population, they will make up the difference here.
Holywood doesn't give anybody cash... The Cinemas here give Holywood cash.. About $25,000 per movie reel.. The reel has to be returned to the USA within a couple months and the Cinemas then get about $10,000 or so of their money back for each returned movie reel...
Once all the reels are returned to Hollywood, the movie reels are all destroyed and DVDs and Blu-Rays are printed. Of course, the amount of money varies widely depending on how big of a block buster the movie is expected to be.. Movies reels like Men In Black are much more expensive to obtain than Madagascar.
