Q: Does it worth to visit Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)?

I have heard the experience from the people coming back from Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) that is intimidating.

Broken shoes, sickness, extreme exhaustion, humid hotel rooms, expensive food and water after entrance.

Does it worth after all that?

your question depends on what u want, some people enjoy the Climbing fun, some people like the nice view maybe because the snow mountain with green trees or the sunrise. expensive food and water on the mountain maybe truth, but i can't understand why broken shoes\ sickness? the elevation of Mount Huangshan is about 1860 meters,so

climb the mountain of course u will feel tired, and i think this also depend on your health.

so ,if u like and want to do ,then go, no need consider  too much, good luck

Don't understand why broken shoes or sickness either.
If you don't exercise regularly its better to stay one night in the mountain and you can watch the sunrise too,or go down by cable if you want to make it one day.
Yes food and water is expensive on the mountain, but its really worth to go there in summer and winter! You also can visit hongcun, around 30 minutes driving way from huangshan.
