Q: Does jade have the same value in the West as it does in China?

I don't think jade is big in the west. We prefer diamonds. But at the end of the day, is jade considered equally valuable in the west and are their foreigners who collect jade as an investment similar to gold?

Wow, I didn't see this question earlier, and my answer is I don't know (sorry) but I seriously hope so. My wife has a ton of the stuff, and a lot of it is high quality too.

Be aware that the prices in respectable jade shops can be very high. We bought some pieces of jade that were about 1000RMB. thanks to the fact that my mother in law has magical negotiation skills, they were negotiated down to about a 3rd.
