Q: Does Your Chinese partner Drive in your country?

It had to happen

She wants to learn to drive a car in Australia

Just what we need    another Asian driver on the road who does not understand that 2 objects can not occupies the same space and time

she never drove in China but now some of her friend drive she wants to as well

I tired once to teach her a few years back and still regularly attend therapy due to it (local Bar)

But this time she is determined

So I told her to go to a driving school and this is how it went

Darling I want to learn the license

Ok   we will find you a driving school

But you are Driving Teacher you can teach me

No I will not teach you because I do not want the arguments

but we will save much money if you teach me.

The divorce will cost more

and this is before the key is in the ignition

Did this happen to any of you guys

And this is why we Drink

I taught my wife to drive in England, she had never driven a car before. She tried a couple of real English driving lessons on a manual car and gave up because she said it was too hard. She kept on about learning to drive so I took her out one day to a mall car park on a quite day and started to teach her on our Mercedes C200 auto. She did make reasonable progress and drove fairly well on all the roads except motorways, where I would not let her and anyway in England it is illegal to do so on a learner licence. She was ok, but never took her test before we came back to China. Better than most Chinese drive here but still not what I would call a good driver, some days were good and on others she just lost the idea that there were other people out there. She was driving for about two years in all

Yes. she had had a few lessons and I then took her for practice before she went for her license. Got it first time but I am not sure how because she is not very good so I nearly always drive.

I suppose that does not help her improve but we both prefer if I do the driving.

I can tell Chinese drivers at home, no wonder they have such hard times getting visas, they are the worst drivers in the world. They should not ever drive a car. Bicycle yes, car no.
