Q: Double-eyelid tape- the weirdest beauty product in China?

I've seen a few Chinese girls stick a thin layer of tape on their eyelid to make it look like they have double eye-lids. In my opinion, it doesn't work and just looks like what it is: tape stuck on the top of their eyelid. I know there's an obsession with double eyelids here but who comes up with these products!? It's just weird.

tape is far better than having the surgery, personally I think natural is better than anything else. an ugly person with makeup is still an ugly person

I don't know about the weirdest, but the worst one is putting freaking mercury in everything to bleach the skin.

Then they have the weird contacts and the painted eyebrows. It's difficult to choose the weirdest. As RachelDID said, the worst is the toxic make-up and skin products.

the strangest treatment i heard of was actually in South Korea: a cosmetic surgeon who claimed he could lighten eye colour from brown to blue.... When i discussed it in a class, all the girls said they would do it if they could

My girlfriend uses said tape.

In fact, on Wednesday, we were round an Aussie friend's home and she was playing with her eye.  I didn't notice, but my mate did.  He got her a tissue because he thought she had something in her eye.  He said it was doing his head in.

Ha.

TIC!  China is a very strange place.

Along the same lines, I remember a few years back in the States they were advertising this "powder" that men with thinning hair could "shake" into their (remaining" hair and it would give the impression of a "full head of hair".

In reality, they were half right!

They were full of something, but it was NOT hair!indecision

A:Well, doing a medical exam ahead of time wasn't actually necessary. I signed a promissary note stating that I was in good health and would do the result once I arrived in China. This was enough. -- norninman
