Hello,
I'm currently in Beijing, and I have some doubts, I hope you can help me, I arrived in Beijing a few months ago and after being here for a while I liked a lot and decided to try to stay longer and look for work, an agency contacted me and he promised me a visa to work here.
After working for 1 month, the agency told me it was time to process the visa, it turns out that they gave me an X2 student visa to work, that I did not like and I told them, that and that the agency treated me very badly during the process in another country, and I decided to change jobs, but some friends told me that my previous agency could cancel my visa x2, is this possible?

X2 visa isn't right visa for working in China!
You must receive Z visa abroad (out of China) to be legally employed in China.
I would say for any cancellation of visa, cops must be in possession of your passport, either you agree to cancellation and go with visa sponsor to PSB (cops in China) where they stamp it and cancel it. That is theory 'cause I've never experienced visa cancellation.
Whatever other cancelations I was involved or I wasn't ... I had an extensions, not cancellations. It applies the same: I was at cops with my passport and they hit another stamp with 30-days extension.
You are not required to work at your S2 sponsor, or in other words, you can move to another company/job, but you will be still working illegally.
If your visa sponsor know where you are going, they can report to cops and they will come (maybe!) and get you few days for exit from China. You will be most likely added to Chinese database, what will make difficulties for your new employer to obtain Working permit for your Z visa later.
In order to legally work in China, you must receive Z visa at Chinese Embassy abroad which must be sponsored by Chinese employer authorised to hire foreigners.
Z visa is the only visa which makes you legally employed in China!
