Q: DRIVER LICENSE PROCESS!!
Hey guys what's up!! I wonder if someone can help me with some info about getting my Chinese DL but i don't wanna go through the stupid test process, cause I really don't have time to study for the test. Anyway I know there are some companies that can speed up this process and they charge a decent amount of money so I will go for that option instead doing the whole boring process. If you know any info of those companies, I will really appreciate your help !! Thanks Guys.

Just search the web for "Chinese Driving Licence for foreigners". It'll come up with a few. All depends where you live in China. No point us giving you details of agents if they are in Beijing & you're in Guangzhou.

The smart choice, pay 5000+ RMB for something you can get for less than 500RMB by doing it "the right way"
I think you should just go to the test. It's only a multiple choice quiz on a computer (if you already have a foreign license).
I say the following as a tongue in cheek comment, given the terrible standard of driving here........
If you are a foreigner you should at least make an attempt at complying with the laws of the land. Yeah, the standard of driving is shit here, but that does not mean it is ok for a foreigner to buy a license and have no idea what the rules of the road are.
Just do the test.
Of course, the hardest part of the driving test is having a visa that allows you to stay in China for 90 days per visit. Is that the real issue with you doing the test?

I did my license on a 1-year - 30 day per visit visa. Different rules might apply in different provinces.
As a follow on to other posts.....I "paid" for my licence through an agent...reason at the time was my visa. Cost me 6000.
fast forward two years & 2 of my colleagues wanted licenses. They did it legally. Both downloaded the "drive in China" app, practiced with it for two weeks & both passed the test first time. Cost them 500 & a bit of running round offices getting the paperwork done.
Make your choice....lazy way costs you 10 times as much. Mikes contact is very good if you want to do it the expensive way.
lol I remember getting my DL in Texas cost me less than 40 dollars in total or maybe even less than that. I heard that getting a Chinese DL is very expensive like 3000 RMB just for the registration or something like that.

If you are Chinese & need to start from scratch then lessons & the tests in China are 6000 rmb in total.
If you're a foreigner with a valid foreign licence & take the computer test yourself then it's about 500 rmb, most of which is for translations, etc. the test fee is only 100 rmb.
I asked the poster that had fake documents for sale, DL: ... Chinese Drivers License will cost you 455usd but you will be paying 185usd so that can secure the inquires for the job such as ink stamp papers etc mean while i will provide you with ur soft copy before..... ha ha, not even a believable scam..
If you live in a first or second tier city there is very likely a school with English speaking examinators.
If you live in a third or fourth tier city bribe the examinator and you will get your piece of paper, no test needed
I got my DL about a year ago... Very simple, didn't study, just used common sense... It' was very cheap and quick... Book a time to take the exam (using multiple choice questions on one of 200 computers) you have a time limit (can't remember either 1 hour or 45 mins) and you need 90% to pass... If you fail the first attempt, you can click re-start and try again... If you fail the second time, you need to rebook the exam for a date no earlier than 7days from the day you failed and pay a 50yuan booking fee..
I was lucky enough to get 92 on my first...

you go to the dmv if you have a license from your country show it and you will have to take the computer test 100 questions you need to score a 90 or better the test is in English good luck
I've just pursued this topic as my wife recently went out and bought a car. She has a licence but has never so much as been behind a steering wheel.
As for myself, I have no hope despite an uninterrupted driving licence for over three decades. The police have told us I have to do the written exam and that it's in Chinese. I don't understand Chinese. It seems they've never had a non Chinese speaker enquire about a licence in this region before.
I've laughed at them but nevertheless the conundrum remains.
I believe their inflexibility is based purely on racism.

That's odd, even for China. In Guangzhou they offer the exam in at least 10 languages, so the software is available! They might allow you to take a "translator" in to do the test with you ;-)

Do you happen to know if Chinese road rules are basically the same as Australian road rules?

I don't know Aussie road rules as I'm British but if you're allowed to disregard traffic lights & pedestrian crossing, drive on whichever side you want & reverse down the highway then yes, they are the same!
But seriously.......Most actual Chinese rules are similar to developed countries. Stop at red lights, don't go over the speed limit, don't change lanes over solid white lines. I never learnt the rules before driving here. I didn't have the right visa when I got my Licence so paid an agent to arrange that I passed the exam! I learnt some of the finer points by getting tickets If you want to learn the rules download an app called Drive in China for iPhone, I guess there is also an android version. Translations aren't 100% perfect but it is the latest questions. There are also one or two websites that have them

Hahaha...very good.
But, incredibly, the drivers in my city always stop for a red light. They are simply afraid of getting pinged, so they stop. As for stopping for pedestrians at a zebra crossing...no way! They don't give a rats arse about people, only getting a ticket for running a red light. When I make the observation that the priorities of the police need some polishing up the locals respond with the good 'ol line about the police being "very very busy, very very tired".
Thanks for the tips re getting a licence. In truth, I don't really want to bother, but my wife has bought this car and she can't drive it. So I suppose I should.
