Q: Expat working from home in China via Net

I've decided few months ago to escape from the US, Lets just say that  I want to change my life.

Yes I was working as an Expat  in numerous countries in the past but China sounds good to me.
At the present time I do my work from home , another word, have the hook up, then I am at work, no commuting needed ..no paycheck (virtual money)
Yes I can find the job in China with no problems but I've got addicted to work from home
Is anyone doing this here? and if so how it goes?

I have been doing this for a while. For a couple of different employers. The first employer was in Europe and Singapore, so timezone wise not too bad. My current employer has staff in different timezones in US and Europe. So this does introduce some early morning/late night meetings at times. This impacts social life in China.

The most difficult thing for me is the internet connection. I live in a building with fiber connection, yet at times there is not even bandwidth for a skype voice call. Of course VPN connection is essential.

It's not a problem if your employer has some flexibility and you are capable of panning your time.

Using a VPN also seems to be problematic these days.

it would be a thing to ask an employer to provide. if the VPN connection point is not one of the commercial available ones, then chances of success increases
