Q: Expats....What is your fav pro sports team?
I hope this doesn't get deleted. Many countries are represented here so lets have at it. We can't really follow our teams the way we did at home but I know sports is sometimes the great equalizer, even in such a far away country like China. Feel free to list your favs by sport too!

He's said he was California, then confused himself with one of his multis and said Carolina, now he's trying to cover his tracks. The Sharks were responsible for killing Chinese hockey, by the by, about three or four years ago. Thanks, Sharks!

I dunno man. I haven't kept up with hockey since I left Canada (to Europe first, then China; almost six years), except two months last year I visited when they were... a hell of a lot better than the team I left. I watched them through some pretty black years and the little bit I I saw from this season was pretty gratifying. I'm still blown away they made it as far as they did last season. Combined with the NDP thing, and just knowing all that crap from just reading on RSS feeds I feel like I don't know my own country anymore.

There are no other sports.
NHL: Canucks die hard fan for 30 years....Habs are always my second favorite...HATE the Leafs.
NFL: SD Chargers all the way, but they always disappoint....Seahawks second.

Everything else is of much smaller interest.
NHL: Canucks fan since conception (actually Mom and Dad's first date was a Canucks game). The Leafs and Flames can kiss my ass. Don't mind the Habs though. Refuse to cheer for any other Canadian team though since last year's playoffs when jealous Canadian media talked smack about Vancouver non stop.
MLB: Mariners, Oriels (so I'm f@cked for baseball)

OK...Hating the Flamers goes without saying. And yes, all of Canada but Quebec had the big time hate on for the Nucks last year...screw them all. And Ron MacLean can kiss my ass. BTW...saw my first Canucks game when I was 9...parents got seasons tickets for the first time.....watched the Canucks beat the Stars (Minnesota) 10-9....no kidding.

I saw them play the wild a week or so ago in Terminal city. First live game in too long! I hope Fans at GM place boo the shit outta Ron and Don when the Moronto Maple Laffs come to town next month!
BTW, I love how many Canuck fans are in China!

Don't know about other leagues, but I pay $20 a month for 8 months a year to get all the games live streamed on NHL.com. I am pretty sure the NFL does the same thing.
