Q: Is the expensive silver and stone jewellery in Beijing's Tibetan shops real?

Many of the Tibetan shops around Houhai and Nanluoguxiang sell silver necklaces upwards of 800rmb with no bargaining allowed. I really like Tibetan jewellery but have developed such a suspicion towards buying things here, afraid that they're fakes. Does anyone have any experience buying Tibetan jewellery here?
