Many of the Tibetan shops around Houhai and Nanluoguxiang sell silver necklaces upwards of 800rmb with no bargaining allowed. I really like Tibetan jewellery but have developed such a suspicion towards buying things here, afraid that they're fakes. Does anyone have any experience buying Tibetan jewellery here?
there's a 90 % chance of being fakes. i would try to find someone who can tell the difference . if you dont know anybody then i wouldn't pay that much for them. unless im 100% sure theyr real
i'm not a jewelry person but i wouldnt by anything like that in china lieing and cheating is encouraged here especially with regard to foreigners
You have to check by yourself after all you are going to buy <a href="

Yes or may be. because every expensive silver and stone jewellery is very costly compared to other imitation jewellery.
