Q: Extend Business Visa in China, Possible?

Hello!

I'm issuing a Business Visa in Mexico, one entry, valid for only 60 days. Do you guys know if  it's possible to extend it whether in China  or HK before it expires, or maybe to issue a new one in HK? I need to stay at least 6 months in China and I don't want to come back to my country to do so once Im there.

I don't know if it helps but I have several entries to China last year and used to hold "Z" visa. Last visa was 'Humanitarian' valid til November, 2013

Thanks!

1 need to check with HK travel agent if you can apply for new one. generally yes but the entry period will be short i guess.

2 yes, you can extend the visa in China. but you need sponsor company in shanghai to offer you documents to do that. and the entry period can not be confirmed. usually it is 30 days to 60 days.

I've heard different reports on this. When I was in HK last October to extend my tourist visa they said I couldn't so my business visa there, I have to go home. They said you can only do a working or student visa in HK. But that was for converting a tourist visa to a business visa. Not sure about extending a business visa.

You do not - extend - your visa in Hong Kong. You - apply - for a new visa.

You only - extend - a visa in a PSB inside China.

Effectively meaning any previous visa you might have had do not matter in Hong Kong, because you are applying for a new visa.

I'm living next to HK, so I hear the visa results weekly.. NO chance to renew your visa in HK without a HK ID.. The only chance you'll have is using an expensive agent for 7000, they'll mail your passport to American, LA I think. Risky move.

Look guys 7000  i guess  now its 6000 is expensive but in the end is all good , i have a friend from UK who broke the contract with his school before his contract expiration date and  he moved to Shenzhen hired one of those agents cause the school didn't give him the release letter now he is working in another school and its all good the only thing about this F business visa is that you have unlimited entries but you need to get out of china every 90 days, I'm thinking doing the same thing cause i been teaching for 2 years, and i want to continue with my business project. I'm moving to Shenzhen and i really want to get out of the teaching game, its decent money but fuck it Chinese Schools always take advantage of the foreign teachers.
