Q: Fact checking news ?
Can anyone post a link to a right wing website that does honest fact checking?
I cant find one.
The other day Trump said the US justice system was a joke.
A few hours later Sarah Huckabee Saunders said he had not said that.
I Saw of video of him saying it, and I watched a video of her saying he did not say it. He said it, she said she did not. He said it. She said not. I watched him on video, saying it. She said not. Did he say it... ? yes.
I saw him say it. But she says he did not say it. I saw her on video saying he did not say it. What video to believe?

there is no such thing in the news... they expect answers moments after events....impossible. Meantime they speculate, largely on personal views. The news is USELESS. The facts may become available NEXT YEAR, for yesterday or todays news events. Meanwhile, just keep believing what you believe is appropriate.

Can you tell me a left wing news organization that fact checks? Rolling Stones rape allegations for example? New York Times?

Watch Collin Powell's presentation to the UN. Even he didn't believe it. What you said is not an excuse to not use the brains god gave us. It's not an excuse to avoid seeking out information, avoid using critical thinking and logic.

The weapons inspectors at least appear to believe that they never existed (they could be wrong), but the Bush administration needed a reason to invade that the rest of the world would go along with.

As BHGAL said, people want it NOW!!!! There's no time to check for facts, when the facts aren't known anyway.
And, much more importantly, they want a reaction now! News isn't about facts anymore, it's about feeling the right level of <insert emotion - rage, horror, love, sympathy, etc>.
When I teach, I like to get them to understand logical fallacies. Unfortunately, I have also had to teach language analysis and persuasive language. Quite often, those two ideas overlap - most forms of persuasion are actually logically fallacious! But people keep falling for it!
I tend to use Snopes - but that means waiting until facts are actually available....
