Q: Favourite Chinese Tea?
What's your favourite Chinese tea? I want to try something new this week 
Pu Er, the one in my MILs house she says is specially for women (I think for those delightful few days each month) but hey, I don't believe in that crap so I can drink it.
By far the most flavorful tea I've ever had was tartary buckwheat tea 苦荞茶. Don't let the appearance of it turn you off, it smells and tastes incredible. I think sichuan restaurants serve it.
have you ever tried Buttered tea ? 
Fujian Hong cha. I got 2 kg at the 2nd shopping in the store.
I like mint tea also, but I can't get it anywhere in China. Will do online shopping for Egyptian mint tea.

Oh yes they must have it on the internet! I will try some Fujian Hongcha.

I have not seen Fujian Hong cha in Fuzhou. Where can I buy it?

I was in Jianou. Farmers are selling it everywhere. I was smelling it in Nanping, too. Fujian hong cha is everywhere in N. Fujian. Wuyishan is the centre of 'hong cha', but I couldn't find any loose tea retail seller there.
Try at outdoor market in Fuzhou, or any other outdoor market in Fujian.
They're storing it in a big, some 30kg plastic bags.
I don't speak Chinese, so I must see it, and smell it first. I have note in Chinese with different teas, but I mostly get 'meiyou' answers.
I brew it some. Water is completely black, and tea needs sugar or milk (in my cup). I also add some cinnamon sticks to brew.
Then I just add water to the pot and brew whole day the same, morning tea, without adding any fresh tea. Water is 'hong cha' tasty and black/brown even after the 3rd refill/brew.
Fujian hong cha is something else.

Thanks for the info. I'm really intrigued now. I would drink Keemun Hong cha when I was in Anhui, and it was a great tea to start the day with. I'll have to take a weekend trip into the province and check it out.

Keemun is good too. It's best hong cha online. However, Fujian is better and cheaper than Keemun.

Earl Grey, as I really do not like much any chinese tea. sometimes, nice tieguanyin, but nothing else. or, Formosa gun powder, but that's not chinese 
Dahongpao - one of the best from Fujian, also hongcha...can be expensive
I find tea is very much a personal choice based on your own preferences:
my favourite green teas are:
龙井 Longjing
and when i can't get it:
天目青顶 Qing Ding
if you want to find a new brew, go into any good tea shop and be prepared to spend about an hour tasting to find your perfect tea - and depending on your bargaining skills. a good price. every time i return to my favourite tea shop and spend the time there chatting, i end up getting a good price for great tea
