Q: F*****g seriously?

WTF 'admin'. Deleting whole threads because someone called YOU out?

And he was right. He came here asking for advice and there was some s**t thrown around. He pointed that out and got harmonized. Twice.

What's the point of having a forum if, when a debate starts the guy being attacked isn't able to respond, only one side of the conversation is allowed.

Pious. That bible quote still has me chuckling man, dunno why. I suppose I have a weird sense of humour.

Seriously though, you copped some ribbing from a few of us - me included although not meant in a nasty way - and fired back as was your right. You weren't even abusive, I would have been, if you were I'd have thought 'good on ya'. I don't see how anybody can have issues with that.

And waiting to get harmonized again in...5...4...3..............................................

This place is isnt any different than any other place on the internet. Mostly toxic and unhelpful. I agree with you though, I did not see anything wrong with what anyone wrote. it was just mild bickering and a few light jabs at the OP. I dont see why they would delete it. Makes no sense. Although, it does not surprise me.

Stiggs:

Yep.

It's very irritating when there's a thread you're sort of following that just started getting interesting, you take the time to write a response to someone and...deleted. So you both write another couple of posts and then the whole thread gets deleted.

Is it gone? What about my "Darwin's quote"? Ohh, well ...

Now, what I think about Pious' thread, which is wind-with-the-gone:

OP asked the Q and after he got advice, he wouldn't tell the name of the School where all described machinations happened. Doesn't that strike you as kind of suspicious?

Me, I always see an imaginary construct ...

Board is here to help newcomers to China, but doesn't Board also deserve answers to our questions?

At the gone-with-the-wind thread, we aren't worth to know the name of the School. Why is that?

None of us certainly won't go and speak to the principal of that school, but at least we (Board) will know the place, which is better to avoid in the future.

This is the main purpose of my replies,  besides all raincoats ... I have in the storage.

Then suddenly, OP found his own way and contacted the lawyer who sorts it out the problems with salary payments in a heartbeat.

Let me tell you, I tried and contacted Chinese lawyer in 2017, buTT ... he told me straight away that all matter will cost me much, much more than I wanted to retrieve from the school. And, I just asked him to call the School and put his name forward. Nothing more! I wanted to scare the bosses. He was Bj based lawyer and School was in Guizhou.

One lawyer's phone call would cost me much more than around 6000 RMB school owes me ...

Doesn't that strike you ... me, am with Walt Disney, again ... broken heart

Stiggs:

The way I remember it OP told you why he didn't name the school.

Can you point to the place in the website terms and conditions where anyone needs to answer every question to the satisfaction of everyone involved?

OP asked a question. He took some pushback. He replied saying he didn't think it's cool that he was called a criminal and an idiot for asking a question and that post got deleted and when it was reposted along with some other posts the whole thread got deleted

How does that break any of the rules here? Is it ok to criticize or insult someone but not let them reply to what you said because you don't believe and/or like them or because they called you out on what you said ?

That's not what moderation is supposed to be and I don't see how it helps the forum in any way.

Remeber guys; this isn't North America. The press is dictated to. Yeah sure, we get that in the west. But at least there are more than a dozen opinions that get out there. The educated masses can figure out for themselves based on different stories. That can't happen where we are.

biggj123:

It's not really the same, this is just a private company deleting whatever they want. Same goes for youtube and twitter or any thing else with a comment section. Notice they leave up the post about the HK protest. That should have been taken down before the other silly post if it was dictated by some higher-ups.

I had a twitter for about a week and posted something funny about Joe Scarboro from MSNBC and my account was suspended indefinitely. Don't be fooled it's going to be just as bad in North America as it is in China. They will just go about it differently. And Canada is almost just as bad now. It's actually a lot worse in some ways than in China.

The thread was deleted because of the poster's profanity.

Poster (Pious) posted a message with full written profanity words. The post was deleted, but moron reposted the same message except he replaced some letters with asterisks.

Of course, big guy gets upset and harmonized the whole thread.

A: In my personal experience, teaching certificates have varied in releva
A:In my personal experience, teaching certificates have varied in relevance depending on the context and location. Here's a breakdown of each aspect:a) Getting the teaching job: Teaching certificates can certainly enhance your chances of securing a teaching position, especially in formal educational settings such as schools and language institutions. Many employers prefer candidates who have undergone specific training in pedagogy and instructional techniques, which these certificates often provide. However, other factors such as experience, references, and the demand for teachers in a particular area also play significant roles in the hiring process.b) Getting a higher salary than your uncertified competitors: In some cases, holding a teaching certificate can indeed lead to a higher salary compared to uncertified competitors. Many educational institutions have structured salary scales that take into account factors such as level of education, years of experience, and additional certifications. Holding a teaching certificate may place you in a higher salary bracket or make you eligible for certain salary incentives or bonuses. However, this can vary widely depending on the specific policies of the institution or organization.c) Getting promotions: Teaching certificates can be beneficial for career advancement and securing promotions within the field of education. They demonstrate a commitment to professional development and mastery of teaching skills, which are qualities that many employers value when considering candidates for leadership positions or administrative roles. Additionally, some promotions may require specific certifications or qualifications, making holding a teaching certificate essential for advancement in certain cases.Regarding which certificate yields better results, it largely depends on the specific requirements of the job market and the educational context in which you intend to work. For example:A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is often highly regarded in formal school settings and can be advantageous for those seeking positions in primary or secondary education.Montessori certification is valuable for individuals interested in working in Montessori schools or implementing Montessori principles in their teaching approach.A Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate is particularly relevant for those seeking to teach English to non-native speakers in international contexts or language schools.Ultimately, the best certificate for you will depend on your career goals, the specific requirements of the positions you're interested in, and the preferences of potential employers in your target job market. It's essential to research the requirements and preferences of employers in your desired field and tailor your qualifications accordingly. -- ruqaiya761
