have you questioned the school about some basic stuff like responsibilities, curriculum, pay, expectations, pay, visa........etc ?

if you have not done basic research, such as ask for contact details of current or former FT;s you are almost asking to be cheated by the school.

Stiggs:

Yup, this is good advice.

Always, in any teaching job, ask for contact details of other FTs at the school and ask them how they find the school to work for.

If the school won't provide any contact details then that's a huge red flag.

Make sure those contacts are no longer working there... otherwise, you probably can't completely trust what is written!

You can't really trust anyone IMO, just take on board what everyone says and try to read between the lines, decide for yourself how you feel about the school.

I've seen a few really harsh school reviews online written by bitter ex-employees. What they say sounds believable enough if you didn't know who the poster was and the story about how they came to leave the school.

I wouldn't trust anything in China with the word "leap" in the title.
