An expat friend of mine whose been here a while told me that Chinese flip over their money (or wallet in their pocket) whenever there's a crescent moon on its back. Is this a real Chinese superstition/custom or is my friend full of BS? If it is a superstition/custom, what's the story behind it?
I would like to know also, did not listen about it yet.
Never heard about it in the context of China, but I think the British did it back in the day when money was made of silver. That could of course have made it so China and the Chinese seems to suck up anything that could improve their wealth, be it BS or based on reality.
does "real superstitions" exist ?
