Hi guys,
so I went back home for a 6 month break due to some personal issues. Meanwhile I got another job offer in China for a Non-teaching position (I always worked in a company). I am qualified for the position and have all the docs and 3 years of experience in the same field. The company told me I was rejected because I am a non-native speaker of the language in which I will do my daily job.
Problem, is that Ive been doing this job for so long, I am a kind of expert, plus a speak that target language fluently (Well PSB dont care apparently).
Did you guys ever heard of a non native rule for a managerial position ..... I am wondering
Anyway, for those of you who might have an idea, I have some questions:
Do you think I can resubmit my application again? ....I am thinking we can change my job contrat and not mention that language...
I remember, last years we were able to check our application status via a wechat app, which does not exist anymore... any ideas if this feature still exist somewhere?...
...Xiexie

The application system is online now. So your employer logs in, fills in a multiple choice sort of thing, and government give an answer a day or too later.
But the form is written in Chinese Government speak, and from my hair tearing out experience, Chinese HR find it really difficult to understand what the form says.
For example, I worked for many years at a f500 company, thats worth a few points. But the bit on the form was a drop down menu with Chinas interpretation of current fortune 500s.
Also, watch out for HR thinking they are clever by putting a false lower salary in. They think they are doing you a favour over tax, but its the worst thing they can do. Salary needs to be high on the application. Salary is the most important.
Honestly, my last application I had to sit with HR to get the actual facts onto the form. She could not understand the questions at all.
So you need to get onto your employers HR. Also find an up to date list of the points system for where you will work.
Good luck.

That is exactly what happened.... They said your F500 company is not on the list...lol
the gov uses the official Fortune500 but for some reason they seem to not list american companies...

sad the passing of Guanxi....... looks like the human automatons* are getting closer and closer to their goal of World Dominance and making sure they suck the last shred of soul, joy, humanity from the Human Game.
*I use the descriptor human very loosely here
