Just wondering if they have free public bicycles in cities anywhere in China? Something the likes of what can be found in Amsterdam, Montreal, etc... use a coin of some sort, bicycle around to another bike hub and drop it off.
Or is this still a little too fancy?
Beijing has a trial system on public bicyles at the moment walk past one of the stands and only 2 bikes are left presume stolen and never given back.
They ask for 200rmb deposit then 10rmb i think for a day or half a day not to sure on the finer details.
We've got them here in Suzhou. They're next to the subway & bus stops, all along the main roads, shopping zones & universities. It just costs 10rmb to buy the card to unlock them. There is a fee if you keep it for more than 90 minutes. But why would you do that when you can just park it and trade out for another bike? Then the clock starts over again.
They're real convenient. I use them everyday
