Q: French wine huh

I see it around. It's usually Merlot, but sometimes its a cabernet. How can it sell for so cheap? Like 105¥ a bottle! Is it fake? Or the dregs bcs the winemaker knows this customer will probably drink it with fish or some other monsterous act?

I used to buy Bordeaux in GZ about 5 years ago for 50-60 a bottle, now I generally pay about 120. I'm no connoisseur but it's drinkable plonk. French wine has a lot of competition now from the "new-world" so they need to flog off their mass produced "appellation controlle" stuff cheaply. Decent Bordeaux (Grand Cru, etc) is still expensive.

I just avoid any "Vin de pays" as that's normally what the French would use for cooking!

buy a bottle and try it, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Australian wine is far superior to anthing Europe has to offer.
French wine surrenders at the first sign of trouble and Italian wine changes sides half way through a meal.

I drink Shiraz from Argentina... 35 a bottle. My wife works in a hotel, so she gets the retail price...so I usually get a case. Decent enough!

Some years ago I read a news story that a very high percentage of French wine sold in China was fake. I would think it is actually better now as Chinese investors buys vinyards in France. Wine is still fucked up on the dinner table in China. No consideration to wine and food combinations, and a bottle is put on the table just for show and then everyone has a sip... difficult to get pissed this way.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
