Q: Further to the car takeover ? why do they put that yellow and white paint on some roads?

especially the yellow boxes painted on the side of some roads .....why? use up old lead paint maybe?

I use to work for the transportation department for several years....

The paint is for the traffic and for pedestrians...it's a way to show that you must stay within the lines....not sure about the box paint but it could be where they want the person to stand...could be a safety thing..    no why?

A Chinese official saw lines painted on the road in the west. He hadn't a clue why they are there or what they mean but decided China needed to copy them anyway.
