Do the other math - how much to courier two ways, get the notorisation done, and then get the Chinese embassy to do their bit? Especially if you're talking about a few documents, and not just 1 piece of paper (because I presume the above money is for EACH document!) Compare that the the price of couriering, which will be basically the same price whether it's 1 piece of paper, or 20...!
Englteachted:
Fedex express cost less than 50$ total, 230$ is the total cost, including apostle, and embassy and notarization. Still less than 450 US. So your point is?
Shining_brow:
Is $230 for one document - or a pile of them?
If it's for a few documents, then ok.
But if you're paying $230 for EACH document, then it doesn't look so good! That'd be $50 for each doc! (I have at least 3, probably 4-5). AND I want more than 1 copy of each...
Englteachted:
Are you retarded? Why would you mail each document separately? Why not mail them all together?
Can't you read English? Degree notarized, that's one document. 230$ is still less than 450$.
You claim you're a business man but you don't know companies rarely charge a flat fee per document? Copies or multiple documents are usually charged at a lesser price.
Shining_brow:
Are you a complete moron? **
I was suggesting the exact opposite of what you think I'm saying!
However, I have questioned whether the prices you quoted were for only 1 document, or for more... apparently, you're ability to comprehend is... not as good as I thought (although, I'm guessing that others who read this didn't have that same issue).
Since I figure you don't understand, let me spell it out easily for you... how much is the price for getting one document notorised etc through your guy? How much for each subsequent document? (no, presumptions are pointless - TiC!!) Then, compare the price to having those multiple documents couriered OS to someone to do it for you (at approx 100RMB for a package of X documents.. I checked the price for myself). Yes, the price for the notorisation and authentication themselves will probably be per document (they are in Australia - no discounts for multiples).
FTR - authentication by DFAT costs $70 per document, and authentication of the DFAT stamp by the Chinese embassy costs a further $30... so, $100Au all up... Add to that the price of SFExpress postage - 100RMB (about $20) means about $120AU (for 1 document). (it may also need notorisation... information seems to differ :( )
How much was the quote, a legit company in the states charged me 220$, abouts. They gave me an outline of their fees and the fees charged by each dept. You need to send the original degree in order to get it notarized legitly. If you want shady shit go ahead and take the risk but don't complain
Englteachted:
Are you American? I'll give you the contacts to the company I used
3000rmb = about 450$ so do the math, $230 (abouts ) is cheaper!

The important bit you should be asking is whether GTS830302 has a registered business in China... if he cannot provide a copy of business license, then you are dealing with someone who may be legitimately providing a service, but in no way will be held responsible if he take your money and runs, or if issue occur due to however he/she is handling the documents. There are reputable expeditors, however make sure they have a business license.
