Q: Getting a fake recommendation letter with a fake stamp in Shanghai?

My old boss is an English teacher agent he gave me the wrong release letter and said he wont do the recommendation letter. I contacted the school that my visa is through they are getting me a release letter hopefully today. They said the boss never does recommendation letters. My new company wants this. I didn't have an expert certificate at my last job just Alien work permit.  Can I get a fake stamped recommendation letter somewhere?

Recommendation letter is stamped with red official round stamp on the bottom everywhere in China. I wouldn't recommend anything 'fake', but you can:

1. Ask your boss for SAFEA's address; After that question, your boss will change tune, and probably he'll eventually issue Recommendation letter;

If no success, try

2. Add 'SAFEA' in search above for Foreign Expert Bureau address and contact numbers in your city. Dial the number, and ask officer for advice. Be polite, and don't demand too much. 'You're looking for help and advice' when talking to FEB. They will sort out your matter very quick.

I assume, you have Residence permit, and FECertificate had been issued to you. If you work with any other visa, SAFEA might not help.

I contacted them once while working with F in Hangzhou (2011), and they helped me to get my last pay.

Good luck!

I am on a residence permit and I had the red alien employee book until they canceled. That letter is ok. The two from the school aren't. The recruiter said have my lawyer contact his. I don't have an expert certificate. Can I still contact SAFEA?

Yes, certainly! Don't worry for the lawyer. Boss/recruiter is just 'show off' with lawyer. SAFEA will sort him out quick. Get their address from the web link here, and call them. School should get you Foreign Expert Certificate, and if they did, they probably keep it in their drawer.

They (FEB) are very helpfull. I just contacted them on Monday in Fujian.

Lawyers are useless in China because there is no rule of law, there are tons of cases in which a single person won against another with an army of lawyers just because the first one had the good relation. If you have the SAFEA on your side (means you are on a Z-visa and never broke any term in your contract) then you will win because the SAFEA is above courts. Here is a list of SAFEA offices with adresses, phone numbers and email adresses: http://en.safea.gov.cn/2013-08/28/content_16927554.htm I advise you however to walk straight into their office, not to call or send an email.

A:It's up to the employer if they want to hire you that's fine most cities today require you to take a health check every year when renewing the working visa if you pass the health check and you get your visa renewed each year I know teachers that are in their 70s and they're still doing great -- ironman510
