Q: Getting FEC update.....
I am now going through the process of getting my FEC. Z visa is no problem. Apparently, they are checking very seriously now. I'm not talking about big cities like Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. I'm going to a small 3rd tier city and they want every document, no excuses. Med report, no criminal record, degree, reference letter, the works. For those who are renewing or applying for the first time, consider yourself adequately notified.

Only 'no crim' report is new.
School didn't ask me for it last May, and if it is required this year, School should tell me already. I want to see new Contract, before this year RP extension, but I'm still waiting for it.
Everything else listed are usually required docs.

I'm saying they are scrutinizing every detail. Whether you have any medical problems, asking about past allergies, why you want to work in China and all that. I never had any issues with those documents before, I just submit and they barely glanced at them so long as all the documents are there. They don't even look at the contents. This time, they examine every document. I get this feeling they are tightening the rules much more than last time.
