Q: Gifts from your country to take to China

I was reading the front page today and got to thinking

every thing Im taking to China is bloody made there so all Im doing is repatriating them

Trying to find something that represents your country and culture that is made in house is nearly impossible

Do you guys have this problem?

Australian red wine is very popular where I visit. Penfolds reds in particular. I don't think those I bring it for have any idea about good wine but the have heard of it's name and as such offering it up at a business dinner apparently is a good face thing.

I get what you are saying about gifts Phil. We buy lots of T-shirts (Nike, Addidas, Esprit )etc as gifts from Australia but they are almost always made in China anyway.

Derek I wish I could bring a few cases of beer so I could offer a drink for my Chinese friends to try.

derek:

Me too
