Q: Going to Hong Kong

Ok boys and girls I can't believe three months have passed already. I am heading off to Hong Kong this weekend for my visa run and will be spending a couple of days there whilst I am at it.

I am looking for some info on where to go for some specific items.

Mobile/Cell Phones

Computer parts and equipment

Sex toys (Only because Changsha has nothing, or at least nothing I know of anyway)

Clothes that fit

and last but not least, deoderant.

I have been to Hong Kong before so I know some locations of Kowloon. In particular Tsim Sha Tsui, Nathan Road, Chung King, Haiphong Mansions, Holiday Inn Golden Mile and of course Murphy's Bar.  So if anyone can direct me on any places from those locations, then it would be greatly appreciated.

One other thing, I am aware there is a big indoor all night market somewhere as well. I wouldn't mind taking a look around in there. Cheers for any help.

For entire computers go to Fortress (several shops all over the city)

For electronics generally, as you know the Nathan road area has some shops. Mongkok is worth checking out

I've several times bought clothes in Kowloon and although some shops will not have the larger sizes, it is easier to find larger sizes in Hong Kong than on the mainland. Shoes are more tricky.

Does this mean you bring "your colleague" ?

Should your employer not be handling your visa by now?

OK, I can see the point in going to HK for the touristy part, but the Changsha PSB office should be quite scenic too and completely able to provide legal visas.

Deodorant can be bought in any small convenience store in HK.

Why do you want to buy sex toys?I am just curious.Let alone there are more than enough shops of this kind in the mainland, you can either buy them in entity shops or on-line shops.

Whilst you are there get a few shirts made to measure... Shirts in the PRC are quite expensive and sometimes of dubious taste ! I bought 4 in H.K. for 300rmb each.. measured on day 1 .. tried on day 2 .. collected day 3 .. and they are made perfectly.

I used a tailor's shop in Central but there are many to choose from... infact I can't wait to go back to get more clothes made.

You should stop by the Queen Elizabeth stop by subway. I think thats whats the stops called. You can find many things there. It's famous for small business shops that are set up outside. You'll know the name when you see it. It's named after some Royalty from England because you do know they were run by them for years. . . Anyways go try that stop and I'm sure you could find most of the things you need or want! (Drunk!

He he, I said: "royalty"!

You should be able to find deodorant in the Mainland no problem. Does Changsha have a Watsons?

Not at all I have absolutely no connection with the place. However it IS a recommendation as it is a wonderful bar, with truly brilliant music, good beers and passable food.

Sex toys? Don't you have a belt?

DaveP84:

I do, but she is into the kinky sh*t and wants to experience it Western style. This has made me very happy.
