Q: Is a good idea that I consider him?

I met this guy on dating site,he looks cute and he is funny. He is 32 from Greece. we have been talking everyday for a month already. I really like him and we do vedio chatting every night now.
Well,I don't really need him to be rich. But he drops from his university without getting the degree and he is jobless and live with his mom to get her to feed him up. He has a part time translation job to do sometimes but not all the time.
He may come to Shanghai for his part time translation guid for few days and he may meet me.
Well,I can go to Greece for him if the feeling is right. But when I consider I may not get job too,who is going to help feed me up for a while as he can hardly feed up himself?
I like him but just don't know what to do with him.

32 years old.

No job.

No degree.

Lives with his mother.

Yup, sounds like a keeper to me.

IMO. would be better for him to come to China, if he is able to. Since he is probably of Mediterranean decent, he should be able to get a job in a English language center at a fairly decent pay. before he comes to China, might i suggest he go do some volunteerism at a local school as an assistant for a month of so to help him gain some experience and confidence in the classroom. Dont bother with a TEFL course, they are expensive and unnecessary. If he doesnt have a degree, obtain a fake one. Even if caught with a fake, the employer will either ignore it, or fire him. no fines, or jailtime. good luck.

He used to work as a Chinese and Greece translator in Shengzhen.

He told he doesn't have career plan and he doesn't know what to do in his life and he has no job experience. I don't know what to say. Well,I don't need him to be rich. But consider of future,I am not sure if we have future if we can hardly feed ourselves in Greece.

The feeling for him goes stronger as the time spent on vedio chatting. We talk like girlfriend and boyfriend. But the truth hurts,it makes me sad.

Don't settle for low quality men. Keep looking till you find a strong man who can care for you.

Ok!Before thinking about moving to another country or having a future with him, I guess it's better to meet him in person, sometimes people acting differently in virtual relationship; if he is able to come to China and live here for awhile, you may know him better and based on what you said he has  some issues, so I guess it is a chance for him to prove that he can handle his own life and probably taking care of you!So don't take any serious decision until you know him in a real world!Good Luck!

Finally, you're beginning to like a guy just for who he is as a person and on the basis of whether you two click or not. Good going!

It may be a good idea to try and find him a job in Shanghai. That should be quite likely if he has decent English.

Best of luck.

Not if he hasn't got a degree and experience.

He speaks decent English like many Europeans do. I always like guy in this way.cute looking and funny easy going personality. it's you who are judging me.

But he has no degree. Shanghai needs degree to find a job usually. it's a big city where a lot of white people are looking for jobs here,I think Shanghai will be tough for him.

@yongge Shouldn't really matter that much since he's got the white face right? One of the many benefits of the supposedly non-existent white privilege ay?

I hear you kasuka, but although it will work in some provences in the sticks, it won't work in Shanghai, neither in Jiangsu where I am, they are really tough on enforcing regulations.

I wouldn't call the treatment of white foreigners in China as white privilege, rather an acceptance of superiority
