Q: Good jobs for foreigner families?

Other than working for the foreign service, what is a good paying job in China that covers your living and education expenses for your family?

I don't know if you're being really naive or not. What skills and experience do you have? I mean yes, executive-level and senior engineering/technical positions will do that...but those aren't exactly jobs you can realistically apply for if you aren't even sure of which ones they are.

Do you think you can just knock on doors of Chinese companies and say "Hey do you guys need a CEO?" International school tuition is like $30K a year...family living expenses too? What can you do that you feel is worth at MINIMUM $250,000 USD all-in to a company?

Maybe i'm wrong but unless you forgot that you're already a Senior Vice President at IBM or a master petrochemical engineer and just came up with foreign service as an example you're pretty much out of luck. Even in the foreign service you have to be pretty senior for them to pay for all-inclusive family expenses. I have never seen anyone under 40 have that kind of package deal.

meth producer, since it is pretty much impossible for family members of foreigners working in China to have a job, it might as well be something that can give a significant amount of cash without having to pay taxes.

But even that career has been cornered in China, by whole villages!
