try Gail's which has been a favorite since 2000. They flip a lot of patties in this joint. Another local institution is Paddy Field. It's a lively irish bar so get a pint of stout to go with their mouther watering burgers.

I've tried most places and its got to be The Brew in Panyu hands down. The have a place opening in New Town next week too. You get more beef and it is better tasting too.

Here's a list with six of the 'supposedly' best places to eat burgers in Guangzhou. Frankly, I've only tried two of them (I live in Shenzhen and go to Guangzhou often to see friends): Gail's and Lucy's. The former was quite good, the latter was really bad. Maybe I just had bad luck, but the bread was soggy, the meat had a nice metallic flavor and I spent that night on the bowl.
