Q: Gutter oil production is right in front of you!

Have you ever notice those trucks (small trucks) that collect left over food? Yeah those disgusting things. Have you ever wondered why?

To make gutter oil!

It wouldn't surprise me, but I was sort of assuming they were collecting food for pig farms or something like that.

A reporter named Li something got murdered for covering gutter oil stories. Here is the complete production line. Many more photos in the article.   http://www.360doc.cn/article/57493_145137882.html

Extraction from drainage

. . .

Or, from kitchen garbage of restaurants, then take them to pigs farm, feed pigs first, then extraction of oil by boiling it......the rest you can follow with the photos.

Still the same as you witnessed the trucks doing the collection.

Good question.

I have always wondered where the pickups take the blue barrel pig swill. So far as I am aware the pig farms are hundreds of ks to the east of GZ. No pig farms near where I live.

And what about the other waste in the slops? Toothpicks, chopsticks, bottle caps etc.

The fact that the pickups do collect the swill suggest that money is to be made. Otherwise it would go in any bin.

If it goes into swine it shows how food quality means fuck all here.

Solyent green?

diverdude1:

I hear it goes into the fish ponds.  So the carp can eat it,,,, along with human waste picked up from the villages.    Chiners are the only beasts I know who would eat a carp and act all proud about it !  Carp are dirty bottom-feeders.  fkn gross.

ScotsAlan:

Thats probably it Diver. Relatives of the wife (inlaws) have a small farm with a carp pond. The toilet is built on a rickety pier, and the shit goes straight into the water. They lease the pond to a fish farmer. He stocks it, harvests the fish every few years then restocks it. They can take some for their own consumption, but most of it ends up on restraurant tables.

FFS. I knew fish farms in China were nasty but didn't realize just how nasty. I was imagining something more along the lines of water heavily polluted with chemicals from the nearest factory - actually that might still be the case - but I would never have thought they feed the fish actual shit.

I wonder if that fish farmer eats his own fish.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
