Q: Happy New Year! How did you ring it in?

Did you attend any of the festivities? Lots of fireworks? Hungover from the baijiu?

China time ? I was still eating breakfast after I fed the cats and took the dog out. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone,   I'm going streeking later as my way of celebrating New Years and look forward to becoming your new Emporer.

HugAPanda:

Yes, China time. They are 13 hours ahead of us. Goofball. Streaking sounds life fun, as long as it's warm out. I'm a wimp when it comes to streaking in the cold. I would think most men are as well. Just sayin... I'm curlin up with toyboy and watching Marx Brothers movies and making frozen drinks and oinking on appetizer type food \o/

the streaking would go better if my hot tub was operational, still have to wire it, 220V, if you never hear from me again, you'll know how that went. `~~``````

I just happened to stay up until midnight because I wasn't tired, heard some fireworks outside. Then I tried to fall asleep, but I was too excited because I was thinking about my trip to Japan and that maybe I can see a concert of one of my favorite bands. Now that would mean a happy new year.

Well, last night I went a bit overboard, maybe a bit nostalgic in a way.  I had remembered a delicious dinner I had once in Mexico.  Oven baked pork rear leg, white rice, black beans and cassava.  So I set out to duplicate than.  Once done, opened a bottle of Moutonj Cadet (French red dry Cabernet wine), and had a quiet dinner at home with GF.  And a very ncice and long after dinner conversation with her.  About 30 minutes prior, we went to bed with the rest of the wine, and the electric blanket on.  Finished the wine by the stroke of midnight, had the grapes and the hugs, kisses and good wishes, and for the rest use your imagination.  A peaceful but lovable New Year's Eve.

Sat in bed with my wife and watched her fall in love with the "Once upon a time" series we watched online.

Jnusb416:

Ooo, I like it too. It's a neat concept, but sadly, only 7 episodes for now.

It's still 5 hours from now on the west coast.  Gonna watch hockey, drink Kokanee beer and scotch, and maybe watch the ball drop on TV in New York.  Looking foward to my return to China in 9 days.  Happy New Year everyone!!!

I missed the countdown. After getting off work very very late, I was on my way to get some beer and some takeout when I got in a fight with some Chinese with stupid hair who grabbed my arm and screamed "THIS IS THIS IS THIS IS" before breaking out into retard laughter. Thus ends another humiliating and violent holiday season of unpaid overtime, mockery, racial conflict, and bad will towards men.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
