Q: Has any company ever displayed your image for business?
I've seen this a couple of times. I'm just wandering if any company has ever used your image for the benefit of their business. I've seen some people at training schools that the company actually used their image. I know when I went to a photographer it was stated in the contract that if they wanted they could freely use an image they had taken for business purposes.

Yes, a school did. Also another company did on their website, but they paid me for it.
Yeh, I had a huge billboard stuck up in the centre of town of me wearing nothing but my underwear and a cowboy hat. I think they were going for that famous Woody Harrelson, Gap advert look. We lost a lot of business that year. A lot of business.
Yes, I have been asked to do this several times. Normally exchanging a contract (that has nothing written on it) with a Chinese CEO and then shaking hands for the photographers. It ends up in the company "propaganda".
Yeah, my LTC uses my pic on most of their brochures and used it on a huge billboard size poster in the lobby of the tower complex they are based in.
No biggie and they did catch my better side.
to many times, several schools and companies, sometimes with my knowledge and im sure sometimes without, just hope my picture is not on the wall at the post office like it is in the states. lol
One of my friends did when she opened her school in Guilin. However, she asked me for permission first.
The institute I worked at as a side job did. They did not ask me. I'm walking down the street and there I am! I least they didn't lie in the description.
Yes, and without permission. They also did that to another guy who looked Australian.

I have had several schools and companies in China do this, and also several companies and media publications in Australia.
I don't have a problem with my employer using my image for promotional purposes. It's in my interest, actually, to drum up business. The more clients we attract due to my David Beckham look, the higher the pay rise or monthly bonus is.

Little kids ask for your autograph & parents want a photograph with junior or sis standing next to you. (Yeah, yeah, I know. All you preverts were thinking about some other fringe... naughty, naughty)
