Q: Has anybody been 'catfished' by a job here?
'Catfishing' basically means being misled by someone on the internet, i.e. the girl you met on Tindr is not that hot 24 year old, but actually a 40 year old potato.
I've heard so many stories of hot job offers that turned out to be pretty potato.

Catfishing , when it happens to me, is mainly them trying to steal my lessons. If anyone ever asks you to provide a copy of your lessons first before receiving a schedule, simply ask them for one of their books and say chapter 1, 2, 3.... Never give a school a copy of your ppts or lessons.
Once I've heard about 'pretty pumpkin', but I've never heard of 'pretty potato'.
'Can I have some extra, extra pretty French fries?'
Got to go out more often.
Job offers? Ask for the Contract, and after you sign it, you must get what's written in it.
meiyou 'pretty' in pic's description.
Is that not just advertising with Chinese characteristics?
i was.....
Offer was:
Export manager
10am-7pm schedule
500 bucks raise after 6 month
2 days off / month
Reality:
Mr. fix it ( responsible for export / production / sales and shipping + making coffee for customers)
10am -(10-12pm) schedule
No raise due to recession (1 year now)
No holidays whatsoever
But i wont call that being catfished, i would call it fu**n screwed.....
Englteachted:
Who the hell would take a job that offered 2 days off a year?
Englteachted:
More like a typing error, but the question still holds true. 2 days off a month?
AhmadKoudrah:
yes, the deal was one working Sunday one off Sunday, so 2 days \ month.
And ur missing the point. Im not even taking these 2 days as holiday... its work work work 7 days a week...
