I checked the weather report averages for January -- I was really surprised -- average lows of 37 F. and average highs of 67 F. Somehow, somehow, I thought that it would be much colder than that.

Apparently all citizens except citizens of India need a visa upon arrival and it can be hand in the form of a visa-upon-arrival if one is arriving by air.

I think the absolutely most consistent advice from all expats on this site bears repeating here;

Don't travel during the major holidays unless you are a masochist or your life depends on it, it won't be worth it, not even the undivided attention of 75 virgins would be worth what you would have to go through traveling at that time of year.
