I can't bring my dog back on a tourist visa. Has anyone brought a dog into China. I'm thinking maybe I can sell my dog and bring her over to one of my Chinese friends, then later buy the dog back and take her home.
i can not keep myself properly so where the hell i can keep a dog. animals are good to keep but in jungle or zoo or the place they have got in the eco system...... isn't it better to have a human in your instead of the dog...... why this new generation give much preference to animals.......... they can keep their dogs healthy but they feel pain in there ass when their human friend , colleague, BF, any relative eat the food ....

Not so, man has used dogs prior to civilization. I can manage to look after myself, my mate, my property and my critters. Companion animals developed to help us and keep us company, cats control mice eating grain supplies, dogs guard, herd, hunt, protect for us, they are unconditionally loyal. They are a beneifit to man, while relatives tend to be mooches and often hard to get along with. Companion animals should not be eaten, relatives, sure why not.
i have a local friend who brought his two cats. it becomes a long process, you must insure they have all required vaccinations, then from a vet a certificate of good health. then get a cage and ship it here. once here, it will be quarantined for at least 30 days. once released, you can take him home
and please, do not forget to enroll him in Chinese barking classes at the local school.......

I think there is a way around the 30days, I read if you come into HK then it's 7 days and you can walk the dog into china , then home quaranteen.I need a resident permit to import a dog. Tough decidition, it's a difficult trip for an animal, have to be done when it's cooler also.
I did this about 2 years ago. I brought 2 dogs into China from the US. There is a ton of paperwork required before you can bring the dog. Additionally, you must have a residence permit in China before attempting to bring the dog in. I worked with an animal import company to do the paperwork and Customs clearance in China. My dogs had a 7 day quarantine then I was able to pick them up. One note: if you are flying most airlines will not fly dogs during the summer months.
If you want to take your dogs into China,I have a good idea for you .To find a pet checked company in your country, and they will help you dog checked come over, when the time comes you only need to the airport waiting for your dog in the designated .Before that you will spend half a month of time to bring your dog to do physical examination .
