Q: has anyone had any experience with maple professional resources exchange, inc

I have just been offered a teaching job in Jiangsu province by a recruiting company named Maple Professional Resources Exchange and can't find out anything about them by an online search.  Should that cause alarm bell to go off?  The only information is from themselves.  The company website says they are HQ'ed out of British Columbia, have China offices, and have been around since 2006. Does anyone have any experience with this outfit?

If you can't find any information about them online or on any of the several ESL websites, then there is probably 1 of 2 explanations:

1) They are brand new and have not received any online feedback yet.

Or, 2) They recently changed their name because they had too much negative feedback under their old name.

Either way, no online reputation is a big red flag in my opinion.  Also, remember, if they are charging you ANY money, then you should find another agency immediately.
