I once visited Suzhou and bought, under my boyfriends advice, this bag of pearl powder, which, by the way, was extremely cheap. So, I do not regret it that much! I've been told it is good for skin and teeth. Some women add a little spoon of pearl powder in their tea or food other eat it directly. Any experience?

My GF is doing it, and sometimes slips some on my drinks. It is supposed to do a lot of good to your body, it is an excellent source of calcium for you, and it is absorbed by your body at almost twice the normal rate because of compatibility. It activates production of collagen in your body, and many other good things. It is a source of minerals needed by you, promotes bone and tissue growth, gives you anti aging help, if I recall correctly.

Well, I've read a lot of articles and I'm quite curious about it. But I'd like to know about some personal experiences. I've also read that it has some side effects. Is that true? And if it that miraculous why it is not used in other countries?
All I can tell you is that my GF is 42 years of age and still alive, and she looks to be between 25 and 30 years, not one day older. And she is into pearl powder and mushroom tea, and a lot of it. She probably drinks over 10 beer mugs of tea per day, and water with pearl powder (1/2 teaspoon) another 10 or 12. I agreed to the mushroom tea, and have maybe 3 or 4 glasses per day, and do feel better in general, and also have 1 glass of water with pearl powder per day, and still alive.
I do think that anything in excess will eventually harm you, this is why I do control my input.
No experience i'm afraid but do you mean powder made from pearls? I know they're cheap here. In fact i've got an anniversary coming up, I was going to give my wife a finger-ring but I may give her a pearl necklace instead.
