it would be fake, cambridge would never endorse such a product, i was given a very hard time because of my age over 50 to take the celta but i wanted to be an examiner so it was the only course of action that fit my schedule. finally found  a certified celta but it was in china and honestly did not trust that it was legit , so i went to prague for the program.

There is no such thing as an online CELTA. If anyone is trying to sell you such a thing, punch them in the face.

I ordered an online CELTA once.  But a few weeks later I was delivered a very nice mattress.  Then I realized that I had ordered a SERTA online by mistake.  Damn dyslexia.

Sorry to contradict a few above, but yes, you can obtain a CELTA online. Cambridge ESOL changed the rules about a year or so ago.

However, getting one from an organisation in China is currently not an option. (there are no schools registered with Cambridge to do an online course - only face to face).

You could try your luck with an online course from a different country.

http://cambridgeesol-centres.org/centres/teaching/index.do  Select a country, and then select the 'CELTA course online ' option
