Q: Has anyone ordered anything on eBay/Amazon to deliver to China?

I wonder taxes wise what would it be? All countries have their limits in terms what you pay (taxes) when you order from abroad (I believe in Europe it's 150 euros or something like that), I wonder if anyone knows this pertaining to China? I've found very limited info on that on the internet, some saying you don't pay anything if it's under 50 rmb (which is nothing really). Thanks.

I am not sure about ebay, but there is amazon.cn. It is the amazon for China. Have  a look on there. If you can' read Chinese, get a local friend to help.

I read recently that Amazon.com were supposed to be starting to deliver to the mainland, using a warehouse in Guangdong. Might be worth searching for some information on that.

guess this means nothing on this forum, but I got screwed by Thailand on customs duties/fees.  so I never tried again in Asia after that.  just buy stuff from HK, or jd.com, or amazon.com.cn

I ordered a pair of Zeiss binoculars from the States, already super-expensive, and TL charged me basically the full value in custom/import fee.  and u are totally their hostage.  pay or lose your item.

I have got things from both..... sometimes delivery is espensive... but, with the right proprietor, especially if it "Made in China" anyways, there is a way to get the stuff destined for Europe or the Americas diverted and thus save a few bucks.

sometimes Hong Kong e-bay sellers have factories on the mainland. can get good deals.

Nothing in China is as it seems. be careful

It should be fine as long as it has a tracking number of some kind. You can follow it online coming towards you.

Ive ordered things from both ebay and amazon, had them delivered with a tracking number from UPS and they got here just fine.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
