I'm not American, or an expert on any of the above, but I'd go for nukes in the wrong hands. A nutter with a nuke has the potential to instantly kill 10's of millions of people or even destroy the world if other countries weren't smart about it.
China is scary, but not in the same way. Say what you want about the CCP, but they are not stupid. They are not going to start a war they know they can't win. What's scary (from a western perspective) is a new world order, featuring China near the top. For the last few centuries the world has been dominated by western countries who all have basically similar ideas about most things. China thinks very differently and has radically different ideas. I'm not saying their way is worse, but it is different. Change is always scary, especially is you are used to being the big kid on the block.
RiriRiri:
I'm not sure what ideas you are talking about. China's "ideas" are exactly the same as "The West" as it stands: unchallenged crony capitalism supported by an army of undemanding slaves with as little identity and self-awareness as possible.
You think it'd change anything if China was the big boy? It's just about who gets how much at the top now. You're not part of the plan.
None of the listed. The top 1% are the scariest. They have control of so much and will do anything to stay on top.
Lord_hanson can see the light! I agree 100%. Bernie Sanders is our best bet to help us.
All you 1% er's, Feel the Bern!!!!!
radical islam terrorism, they dont care about your politics or religion, conform, convert, pay a tax to live, be a slave or die, killing kids in schools in moscow, western china stabbings, new york bombs, california, paris, london shootings, they just dont give a shit who you are or what you are, die you non believing infidel, die, just wait till we get some nuclear shit and then we can have paradise, after all the liberal progressive bullshit i have seen in my life, the liberal hypocrites want to be friends with people who still treat women worse than a pet dog, and call the conservatives racists for pointing this out. the world is truly screwed, whats left of europe, rest in peace. RIP.

Yeah the area where I skew really far to the right is on immigration policy. I think every country's policy objectives should be serving the interests of their citizens.
100-150 years ago, I'm sure that America's prosperity and security really was ultimately improved by having more open immigration policies. But in 2016 what is holding us back is not that we simply don't have enough people to fill up our factories and work our fields. We're already struggling to make up things for people to do, it's stupid to say "America was built on immigrants!" like it's some kind of suicide pact. That was a pragmatic policy back then and we should base future decisions on pragmatism and not ideology.
There isn't any reason (for the average citizens of western EU and the USA) to keep letting in more & more people, except that certain special interest groups profit from it. Walmart /ALDI get new customers who can spend their benefit money there, everybodies taxes go up a little bit to subsidize it, but the profits stay with the shareholders. Ditto subsidized housing etc.
What I think is creepy is that open immigration is the pretty much the one thing where both the mainstream left and the mainstream right call you a POS if you're against it. Right calls you lazy/entitled and says you can't compete...left says you're a racist/xenophobe.
Why aren't we allowed to be selfish about that one thing? We're allowed/encouraged to be selfish about so many other things but for some reason taking in refugees is the one place we're magically expected to be 100% generous and welcoming about? It doesn't make sense logically. And of course you're right ambivalent mace that it's muchly the same people who will argue all day against any kind of perceived anti-progressive attitude who are campaigning to let in some of the least progressive people on the planet. It is creepy, you're right about that.
RiriRiri:
That's because you're going against everyone's interests. I'm not a marxist or anything but sometimes it really helps looking at things from a purely class based perspective.
On one side, there are those who just want cheap labor in. Not only cheap but also with no angle or perspective to ever ask for more.
On the other side there are the psychopaths who want to start vertical (= middle class versus proletarians) conflicts, which is nothing but a longer term view of the first side.
Remember how CTFU works? Okay then imagine the same principle applied to a constellation of organizations, mostly NGOs disseminated throughout the world whose main purpose is to start PR trolls every time there's an agenda to be pushed somewhere: racism, feminism, trans-genderism (sic), pseudo-democratic revolutions or so much more... just as a drill, everytime you see some kind of report or bogus movement being pushed by the press seemingly out of the blue, look at the source, then look at the source's source, then look at who is financing the source. You always, always always end up seeing the same people, or their affiliates.
That's exactly how people going public and calling rationality on immigration, among others, end up ostracized. Because then fake puppets throw a tantrum, and everyone ends up siding with puppets because that's how human psyche works.
