I can't tell you about student life, but I can give a little insight to employment - which will directly affect study.

Nottingham is damn hard to get into as a job. The teachers there are uber-qualified (and I don't mean they drive people everywhere). I'm talking master's degrees and years of experience teaching in China doesn't even get an interview :( The pay there is very good!

XJTLU... I know a few working there, and again, lots of experienced and qualified teachers - from good quality overseas universities! However, they've also advertised something like 20 jobs on unijobs.com, for a whole range of positions... so looks like there's been a big shake-up.

Yeah, I read that... but since I don't think anyone on here has been a student there, I thought I'd give some ideas from the teaching perspective. Might be better than nothing...

There also is the university of Nottingham in ningbo. Seems less of a joint venture which might be better. I sure it's good too. Go for it I'd say

dokken:

I forgot to mention the university of Nottingham in Ningbo will give you a certificate no different from the university of Nottingham. It doesn't look the same for this place. That might be important. You might want to think about that

Before you take any course of study, you need to consider if your qualification will lead to a job.

Actually fada, a quick look at the courses they offer... they seem ok. Nothing really stupid as I have seen advertised elsewhere.

Here is an example from Liverpool University in Liverpool:

Irish Studies... yeah. I can see that leading to a decent job.

But yeah, Liverpool University in China does offer decent courses.
