Q: Has anyone tried Spirulina tablets made in China?

The ones I have found are "Green Classic Spirulina Tablet"  250mg per tablet

It has lots of certificates and is manufactured by RongCheng Baihe Biology Technological Co. Ltd.

The pharmacy sells them.

Certificates in China are worth peanuts, I can manufacture any placebo shit and get certificates making it officially a AAA+ top of the notch medicine if I bribe the right person.

That's why 99% of TCM doesn't work but every locals believe it does work better than modern medicine, because some influent people told them for centuries to not question it, so they don't. Now I only need to walk outside to see that TCM doesn't work, local people are always sick, I am never, I know one Chinese girl here who doesn't believe in all the BS around TCM and doesn't take any of it, and you got it by now she never gets sick, how surprising.

Facts in China are not proven after serious studies and researches, they are repeated again and again, hammered in people's brains until nobody questions them anymore.

"It works, but slowly, because it fixes the problem at the root". Nah, it's not just your immune system doing its job, with a bit of placebo effect...

DrMonkey:

Where I come from, life expectancy is 82 years old, no TCM involved, we drink cold water, and it does not depend on whether you live in the countryside or not. In China, life expectancy is 76 years old, and if you live in the countryside, it's less. I can mention 5 years cancer survival rates too : for China, it's 40% in the cities and 22% in the countryside. Back home, it's 60%. Back home, public health care is universal, top-notch, and it's a large part of our taxes (we give 45% of our raw income overall, half of it is related to health care). There are other factor like being a mostly nuclear powered country and maybe the food culture. Pakistan, life expectancy is 67 years old.

HK has the longest life expectancy in the world and they gave up on TCM a long time ago thanks to British influence, Japan has the second longest and they willingly adopted modern medicine as part of the modernisation of the country following its opening, they gave up on TCM a long time ago.

I'd not heard of it before so just googled it. A good source of protein according to Wikipedia.

But......based on this paragraph I wouldn't buy it in China.....

"Heavy-metal contamination of spirulina supplements has also raised concern. The Chinese State Food and Drug Administrationreported that leadmercury, and arseniccontamination was widespread in spirulina supplements marketed in China.[23]"

Yeah, about certificates... it takes really nothing to get a whole bunch of those over absolutely no tangible, authenticated or reputable anything.
Might be an indicator of how many danwei could get involved in the cover up of any problem though.

The most precious of them are made in metal, because at least they're worth some metal.

DrMonkey:

How timely, the latest post on China Law Blog mentions that false certification problem, errr, "misunderstanding".

RiriRiri:

I was rather talking about honorific certificates, like "danwei of the year for exceptional quality and outstanding services" and the like.

The standard certifications are a whole other issue, and it's not as messy as people can think.

Companies that get stuck with brokers and fake goods are companies that didn't do their homework. The business license of a company should always mention its scope of business and its capital, and the standard certifications are usually cross-referenceable with good labs.

Industry guys in this forum will surely confirm.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
