Q: Has anyone worked for (Or heard of) Satifirst Shenzhen?

Hey guys, first post on here-nice to be part of the community.

I have been offered a position at this school and the people we have been dealing with seem very nice.

Contract seems cool and we are about to start the Z Visa process.

However, after searching online I cannot seem to find out anything about their own site, no reviews or information anywhere else.

Anyone ever work there or perhaps heard of them even?

Any help is appreciated

Welcome,
I might suggest if you want to be part of the community then creating a profile would be good so that you are not an anonymous user..

To your question.
To be fair, I dont think you have done too much research at all, as it took me 30 seconds to google satifirst shenzhen and find that it isnt a school at all. Its an agency, they will put you in a different school and collect a finders fee. So untill you get more information such as where you will actually be working then getting information and referals from other teachers will be difficult. Many people will swear to never use agencies as they are evil demon spawn.... because they are. But if you have any idea what your doing, then you can handle them well and everyone can win. You are definatly not there yet so you have to just hope you get put in a good situation. In the future, try to deal with schools directly. Do PROPER research and dont stop untill all of your questions have been answered. Good luck!

Cheers Mike-I'm not sure why my name is coming up as anonyous  - I realize they are an agency but I am not sure of the school(s) they represent so was hoping that maybe someone from here knew of them or the schools they work with? (I assumed they perhaps also had a Satifrst school chain)

Currently waiting on police checks/medical and all them things and then they will be getting the Z visa in order, the hours/pay/contract suits me fine so as long as I find out which school I will be placed and get to speak to one or two people that have worked for them to make sure they pay on time and its a decent place to work for then I think I will go with their offer.

Thanks so much for your help

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
