Q: Has this winter been warmer than previous years in your city so far?
Obviously can't speak for the rest of the country, but Beijing's been fairly warm most of winter so far (hovering around 0 degrees Celsius most days). I only just realized this now, as I haven't had to break out my winter cap on too many occasions yet, while I feel like in previous years, I was wearing it constantly. Maybe its all of the smog creating some sort of greenhouse effect here?
How is your city, warmer than usual or same old temperatures?
Now you mention it it does seem milder. Let's hear it for global warming.
Daqing.....not as cold as last few years in my opinion.

I disagree based on what I've been told. I was told by a long-time resident of Daqing that this is the coldest winter here in many years.

All I know is that I have made it through the winter thus far with just one thin pair of long johns. I wear a toque sparingly.
So far, only 1 short burst of snowfall.... I'm not sure about 'milder', but it seems to have been shorter.
It is considerably colder than usual here. Locals tell me this is the coldest winter in years. I hate cold weather.

That's the most depressive Winter I've ever lived and I know quite a lot about many countries' Winter. There was that one in Germany where I lived for more than a year, hard indeed but beautiful. Absolutely a Winter landscape. No matter how cold it was, you wouldn't lose a day without opening your way through the all hard snowed streets or paths through the forests up on the hills around Bonn.
Here it's not only cold, but it simply makes you to not want to hang out but stay indoors.
Zhuhai has been as cold as last winter, but the cold period has been shorter. Less wear on the long-johns
im in guangzhou and for about 2 weeks ive been going out with a tshirt and shorts, seems like the winter is over for us
