I have threatened to complain against a taxi driver many a time but never went through with it, partially because it seems complicated with the language barrier and partially because I've not been sober most of the times a driver upset me. However, I've recently come across lots of really unprofessional taxi drivers (while sober) who simply pretended they didn't know where I wanted to go so as not to have to take me. Others have recently tried to get away with not turning on the meter. Next time I come across an ***hole driver I really will complain. Has anyone gone through with it before? Any advice?

in my experience i think the only place in china where it could possibly work is in shanghai.
for sure not in Blowjing where when a foreigner slap several times a taxi driver the police is already there in real time and the laowai is hold in custody for a few hrs..., but when a laowai woman got punched straight in the face by a chinese male, the police arrives after 1 hr and by suggesting her not to sue the guy, they leave...
Yes, was overcharged. My wife called and complained, got a refund some days later
