Do you know the untold secrets?
11 years 9 weeks ago in Health & Safety - China
dated a student who is now a nurse, she took job in qingdao , 1000 rmb for first 3 months with 6 day schedule , now makes 2200 after a year and 6 day schedule one week and next week 5 days.
even after graduating you have to take a test to work at each hospital and the tests vary by hospitals and regions.
bigger cities have more money and a harder tests to be hired , i would imagine relationships are good way around the requirements.
most good doctors will give 10 percent of red envelope money to the nurses that work with them for surgeries.
this is all i can help with , i do know several americans at medical school here in jinan.
I've met one, and she wanted me to marry her. She was 17 at the time, and somehow a nurse. She was pretty psycho, and I ran away from her on the basis of her age alone (which she lied about until I asked to see her ID).
I kinda feel bad for her. When we had just met (same province), she posted my pictures all over her QQ, "This is my foreign boyfriend!" I was like "Wait, wtf? I'm not your boyfriend! I don't even know you." She flipped her shit and... well, it was pretty bad.
She posted pictures of foreigners that she met all over her QQ space. Random people often responded to her crazy QQ posts with "神经病" (freaking psycho!).
She was also friends with lots of other nurses who added me to their QQ, and some of them were open lesbians who posted pictures of them les-kissing at hospitals and stuff. That's all I know about Chinese nurses. I don't want to know any more.

haha, good story. I dated a nurse once. Within a week she asked for an engagement ring. They must be putting crazy in those IV bottles in Chinese hospitals.

Within a week, this same woman said "I'll do your wife." (我做你妻子) I told her, "Uh, I don't have a wife, and I wouldn't marry a lesbian anyway. Sorry."
It was then that I realized 做 could be "be." Now that I recall, I didn't actually know her true age until I tried to introduce her to a friend of mine. She mentioned it was her birthday next week, and so I asked how old she would be. "I'll be 18!" WHOOOOOA. NO.
