Q: Have police been raiding bars for illegal foreigners in your city?

There was a police sweep of the bars in the Nanluoguxiang area in Beijing about two weeks ago. Has this been happening in other cities too?

Not in this city for sure. But any foreigner here is easily detectable, it's not like Where's Wally.

I would say, it's the one place you can round up the most illegals with illegal entry and expired visas

The closest I had was last june, I was in Sanlitun when I was approached by two police officers who asked me for my passport, which I had. they checked it, gave it back and that was the end of it.

In fairness, I must point out that I live in the Western sidde of Beijing, so I dont get to Sanlitun very often.
