Q: Have there been "terrorist attacks" in any other parts of China, besides the western province?

It will depend on the definition of "terrorism" but I would say yes.

3 weeks ago, a guy set a bus on fire in Xiamen City, ,Fujian Province, and caused 47 deaths.

He was angry and wanted to revenge the society.

Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, similar reason similar attack  27 deaths.

Xinyang City, Henan province. This happened almost the same time as the Newton school gunshot in Connecticut, US.

A man injured 22 kids with a knife.

That's what jumps into my mind so far.

noYes, all you have to do is look back on those days when there was war. They even made a movie about one of those places that were terrorized. I know you know which movie I am referring to. Drunk

He he, I said: "know"!

2001 here in Shijiazhuang. Apparently a guy set off a bomb that destroyed a building.

mike168229:

The official explanation was it was someone who was 'emotionally unstable' following some sort of bust-up with a wife or lover.

Not many believed the official line though.
