Q: Have you added Chinese elements to non-Chinese dishes?
I finally got around to going to an Asian market in town, and I bought some 年糕 and enoki mushrooms. I'm making soup tomorrow, and I thought it would be great to add them in. Of course, that together with white beans means everything in my soup will be white except for some greens I will add. Have you guys made something where you've added Chinese ingredients or elements and made a tasty dish?
