I don't come from USA....butT..I was on many parties in USA.

Suggestions about what?

- party: 'people standing, some sitting with glasses full of their favorite drink, chatting'

- list of 20 most popular cocktails:

The 20 most popular cocktails chosen by Salvatore Calabrese, one of London's finest and most respected mixologists

It depends, what kind of party it is and where is it held. If Corporate, business attaire is required, and if it's just after work party anything goes.

Corporate's are usually held in theater, upscale hotel or upscale restaurant.

You could search on Yahoo-gle for more info and pics:

A:Chinese are generally pretty tolerant friendly and accepting whatever foreigners do.  I spent 15 years in China but I wouldn't say there are that many don'ts....Don't assume that many people speak English though and learn some Chinese. Don't speak much about politics unless you want to praise Chinese system.  -- Natalie363
