Q: Have you ever been invited to take part in a talk show in China?

I've done it 3 times for the provincial TV station. The shows were about family, English learning & TCK 's (third culture kids) respectively. What's your experience & why do you think they got interested in you?

I was to be apart of one, but that fell through. I wasn't really interested in it since it would have been my first time. However, later on I would say a year or so out I was invited to be a part of a type of show for CETV. It was educational as they were launching an online website for teaching Chinese to foreigners. I was playing the foreigner. They paid well can't complain about what I got for my hard work and troubles of waking up early in the morning and traveling some distance away while staying long hours for rehearsal.!

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage.
